Congratulations! Here's what comes next on your journey to law school.
Admitted students will receive a letter informing them of their acceptance and requesting that a $200 seat deposit be submitted either (1) two weeks after receiving their acceptance letter or (2) by April 1, whichever occurs later. A second seat deposit of $300 is due June 1. The seat deposit is credited toward fall semester tuition and/or fees. Admitted applicants who are awarded full-tuition scholarships are still required to submit seat deposits to reserve a seat. Because accepted students are not guaranteed seats in the fall entering class until ASL has received their seat deposits, accepted students should submit deposits as soon as possible. Seat deposits are not refundable.
ASL offers a required class, Introduction to Law, to all incoming first-year students prior to the start of fall semester. The orientation class typically starts in early to mid-August. The fall semester starts one week later and will last 14 weeks, exclusive of holidays. The spring semester starts in early January and also lasts 14 weeks, exclusive of holidays. Both semesters conclude with a brief reading period and a two-week final exam period. The fall semester exam period ends the third week of December, and the spring semester exam period ends in late April or early May. For specific dates, check out the current and upcoming academic calendars.
The Office of Student Services maintains a list of available housing in Grundy and the surrounding area. Please contact your admissions counselor for assistance or more information at admissions@asl.edu.
The ASL book list will be released in plenty of time to secure your books before classes begin. For first-year students, small section assignments may not be finalized until orientation week, so those book selections will available at that time. The book list will be posted on the website, and you will also be notified by e-mail. There is a fully stocked book store near campus, or you may purchase your books online.
We welcome you to schedule a visit or come to an open house.
