Students studying in the ASL Library.

How do I get library help if I'm off-campus?

Electronic Reference

The Appalachian School of Law Library offers students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to ask reference questions electronically. Please give us a thorough description of your research question, as well as the sources you have already consulted. We will try to respond as quickly as possible with either a tip on performing further research or to request more information.

Please note that this service is available ONLY to ASL faculty, staff, and students. We will not respond to any requests from outside the ASL community. This service does not provide legal advice, but offers research strategies.

If you have a more in-depth research question, consider using our Reference Consultation service, which provides a one-on-one meeting with a librarian to discuss research strategies or click here to ask a question.
