What is the ABA/LSD?
The ABA/LSD allows law students contact with the nation's largest professional association for lawyers, the American Bar Association. Each year the student body elects the SBA President who in turn appoints the ABA/LSD representative who serves as a liaison between students and the ABA.
For a small enrollment fee of $20, any law student may join the Law Student Division and receive product discounts, a subscription to the ABA magazine, Student Lawyer, and information about the ABA's programs and publications on specialized areas of the law. The ABA/LSD also promotes various advocacy and essay contests throughout the school year.
The Law Student Division of the American Bar Association at the Appalachian School of Law is here to serve both students of the law at the Law School and members of the ABA in the surrounding area.
