Republican Law Students Association

Republican Law Students Association

The Republican Law Students Association (RLSA) is dedicated to furthering the goals and ideals of the Republican Party through the legal process. It is a diverse organization who's membership is open to all students.

Traditionally, in the Fall Semester the RLSA sponsors the "All American Ball," a formal gathering of ASL Students and community members. The formal affair focuses on patriotic values and the wonders of America. Proceeds from the Ball are donated to a specified charity. An outside speaker, such as Republican Party Canidates, have graced us with their presence.

Apart from the Ball, the RLSA co-sponsors softball games with the Democratic Law Students Organization. This bi-partisan event is a great opportunity to have both sides come out swinging.

Prior fundraising events have also included a Pool Tournament at the Little Big Horn and t-shirt sales. Future endeavors will include band nights and tournaments.

Politically, the RLSA has engaged in intra-school Presidential platform debates and assists members running for SBA offices. In the community, the RLSA has "worked the polls" on Election Day and participated in the county Republican party.

The RLSA holds bi-monthly meetings where intelligent discussions are held on current topics. Previously, movies such as Farenhype 9/11 have been shown and debated. Food is generally provided.

For more information please contact RLSA President Mr. Lindsay Honeycutt or visit the RLSA TWEN Site.
