MISSION STATEMENT
To educate, inform, and connect students with the Sports
and Entertainment industry by increasing networking opportunities,
hosting seminars, workshops, and guest speakers. Students
will be given the opportunity to explore the many opportunities
in this growing field of law. Students will be encouraged
to attend various Sports & Entertainment Law Conferences,
with a primary goal of the organization being attendance
at the Virginia Sports & Entertainment Law Symposia
that is held annually at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville,
Virginia.
ORGANIZATION INFORMATION
The Sports & Entertainment Law Society of the Appalachian
School of Law was founded in 2007. Membership is open to
all and strongly encouraged to any student interested in
practicing in the field of Sports or Entertainment Law.
Topics include sports law, agency, music & sound recording
industry issues, movie production, video game production,
copyright issues, intellectual property, and more!
