Dean McGee received her J.D. from Appalachian School of Law after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia in Athens. Prior to joining the ASL faculty in 2017, Dean McGee served as a law clerk for the Honorable Elizabeth McClanahan at the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Dean McGee loves travel, outdoor adventures, and enjoys camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, and skiing. The Appalachian climate suits her much better than the hot and humid Mississippi Delta where she grew up. The mountains in Virginia also provide more opportunity for Dean McGee’s outdoor escapades. When she is away from her desk, she can be found spending time outdoors with her husband and their two children.
