Charles J. Condon joined ASL in August 2005 as Director of the Law Library and Assistant Professor of Law. He previously served as a faculty member and as Computer Services/Reference Librarian at Northern Illinois University College of Law, where he taught law school courses in Legal Research and Advanced Legal Research and undergraduate courses in Criminal Law and School Law. He also has worked as a Public Services Librarian at the University of Toledo College of Law and has been published in law library journals. He received his B.A. from Florida Atlantic University, his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University College of Law, an LL.M. in Agriculture Law from the University of Arkansas College of Law, and an M.L.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Glenna was born and reared in Richlands, Virginia. She moved to Grundy in 1990, when she married her husband, Patrick. She received her A.A.S. in General Studies from Southwest Virginia Community College in 1989. She then transferred to Clinch Valley College and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Elementary Education in 1992. She received her M.S.I.S. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in December of 1995. She previously was the Cataloger and Systems Administrator at the Buchanan County Public Library for seven years. Glenna and Patrick have a daughter, Catherine Michelle, who was born on December 14, 2000. Their son, Justin Patrick, was born on December 11, 2004.

Chris was born and reared in New Hampshire. He received his B.A. in Political Science magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire in 1994, his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 1997, and his M.L.I.S. from the University of Rhode Island in 1998. He is an inactive member of the New Hampshire State Bar. He was hired by ASL as the Reference Librarian in 1998 and was promoted to Public Services Librarian in 2000. He teaches Legal Process II and other classes when necessary. Chris also is a soccer coach and webmaster of the Buchanan County Soccer Association's web site.

Ethan Atwood is a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s School of Information Science, receiving an M.L.I.S. degree in May of 2008. In 2006, Ethan received a J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law and in September of that year was admitted to practice before the Arkansas Bar. Ethan also holds a B.A. in History from the Fulbright College at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

Rebecca was born and reared in Buchanan County. She received her A.A.S. in Accounting from Southwest Virginia Community College in 1993, her A.A.S. in Management in 1994, and a B.S. in Organizational Management from Bluefield College in 2002. She is married and has two sons. She was promoted from Circulation Assistant to Circulation Manager in 2003. Becky has just finished the distance learning program at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She was promoted to Access Services Librarian in 2005.

Michelle was born in Richlands, Virginia, but graduated from Whitewood High School (now Twin Valley) in 1998. Michelle received her B.A. in Studio Arts from Berea College in Kentucky in 2002. She moved back to Southwest Virginia to be closer to her family in 2004. Michelle still enjoys drawing and painting as a hobby. She is married to Scott, and has a step-daughter, Larissa.

Elise was born and raised in Buchanan County. She attended Kentucky Christian University where she received a B.S. in Middle Grades Education and Religious Studies in 2009.

Beth was born in Ft. Myers, Florida, but was raised in Buchanan County. Beth received her A.A.S. in General Studies from Southwest Virginia Community College in 1997, a B.S. in Paralegal Studies, summa cum laude, from Virginia Intermont College in 1999, and a M.S.I.S. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in December 2007. Beth has held several positions in our Technical Services department in the last seven years. She has worked her way up from a part-time employee, then to a full-time staff member, and she is now a professional librarian. She and her husband Richard have one daughter, Sydney.

Kandi is a native of Buchanan County, having graduated from Garden High School (now Twin Valley) in 1995. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Berea College (Berea, KY) in 1999. She joined ASL as a Circulation Assistant in 2006, and switched to Cataloging Assistant in 2007. She has one daughter, Ciara Noel.

Tiffany was born in Virginia, but raised in Florida. She moved back to Virginia in 2005, and graduated from Grundy Senior High School in 2007. She will receive her A.A.S. in Education in 2009. Tiffany has a son, Landon Alexander, who was born on August 12, 2008.

Teresa is a native of Buchanan County. She graduated from Grundy Senior High School. She received her A.A.S. in Accounting and A.A.S. in Business Management from Southwest Virginia Community College in the spring of 2006. She joined the ASL Library in 2005 as an Acquisitions Assistant. She is married to Kevin and has two children, Dustin (18) and Chasitie (14). Teresa enjoys reading and walking in her spare time.
