The Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) provides the ASL community with access to many non-legal resources. Most of these are available on-campus only.

Academic OneFile (Gale)
Full-text articles from many academic peer-reviewed journals. Must use a computer on-campus.
Associations Unlimited (Gale)
Information about half a million non-profit organizations. Must use a computer on-campus.
Biography and Genealogy Master Index (Gale)
An index to most print products that provides biographical or genealogical information. Must use a computer on-campus.
Britannica Online
Online encyclopedia for easy fact-checking. Must use a computer on-campus.
Contemporary Authors (Gale)
Biographical and bibliographical information on over 120,000 authors. Must use a computer on-campus.
Expanded Academic ASAP (Gale)
Articles from scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers. Must use a computer on-campus.
Factiva
Business news from Dow Jones and Reuters. Must use a computer on-campus.
FirstSearch
Find books and articles from other libraries. Must use a computer on-campus.

GaleNet
Gale (now owned by Thomson) provides access to many resources, including Associations Unlimited, Biography and Genealogy Master Index, Contemporary Authors, Expanded Academic ASAP, LegalTrac, and MLA International Bibliography. Must use a computer on-campus.
Gale Virtual Reference Library
Provides access to a number of various reference databases, including Encyclopedia of Medicine, Encyclopedia of Small Business, and Encyclopedia of US Economic History. Must use a computer on-campus.
General OneFile
Compiles general-interest periodical and newspaper articles. Full-text, often with images. Must use a computer on-campus.
LegalTrac (Gale)
Online searching of legal periodicals and newspapers. Must use a computer on-campus.
Literature Resource Center (Gale)
Contains Scribner Writers Series Online and Twayne's Authors Online. Full-text biographies and criticism for over 130,000 authors. Must use a computer on-campus.
MLA International Bibliography (Gale)
Access to over 1.5 million bibliographic citations to journal articles, books, and dissertations. Must use a computer on-campus.
Oxford English Dictionary
Search the Oxford English Dictionary. Must use a computer on-campus.
VIVA - The Virtual Library of Virginia
Access to many non-legal databases. Databases include Factiva and OED. Must use a computer on-campus.
