ASL Student Bar Association Members Elected

Grundy, VA (May 2, 2017) — Student Bar Association members were recently sworn in at the Appalachian School of Law. Bill Perry, of Tazewell, Va., was sworn in as SBA president by outgoing SBA President Brett Hall.

Alex Harclerode, of Bluefield, Va., was sworn in as vice president. Neil Fannin, of Pikeville, Ky., Adrian Roseboro, of Durham, NC; John Beamer, of Christiansburg, Va.; Kim Smith, of Williamson, WV; Mike Thomas, of Tazewell, Va.; Chris Porsenna, of Chapel Hill, NC; Danielle Goldberger, of Raleigh, NC; and Dedra Brown, of Fredericksburg, Va., were sworn in as members of the SBA executive board and as senators.

Mike Enroughty, of Williamsburg, Va., was sworn in as chief justice of the Honor Court and Jared Hicks, of Huntington, WV was chosen as deputy chief justice.  Manpreet Kaur, of Amsterdam, NY, and Kristyn Densmore, of Jeffersonville, Ky., were sworn in as members of the Honor Court.

The new SBA president, Bill Perry, is a second year law student at ASL. He is a member of Phi Delta Phi and serves as editor of the Appalachian School of Law Journal. He earned a Juris Master’s Degree from ASL in 2016 and graduated magna cum laude from Bluefield College with a  Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. He served as a judicial clerk in Tazewell County for the Honorable Jack S. Hurley last summer and continues to serve as a detective/deputy sheriff for the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office. Perry has also been an adjunct instructor since 2012 at Southwest Virginia Community College, teaching administration of justice.
