Erica Parish, a Grundy native, graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2004 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Appalachian Studies. She received her J.D. from Appalachian School of Law in 2007. Since graduating from ASL, Ms. Parish has been employed as a law clerk in Virginia's appellate courts, having first served the Honorable Elizabeth A. McClanahan both on the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Since 2012, she has served as a career judicial law clerk to the Honorable Teresa M. Chafin, both during her tenure on the Court of Appeals and currently on the Supreme Court.
Ms. Parish loves to spend her spare time with her husband and little boy. She fancies herself an amateur genealogist and a true-crime and history podcast connoisseur. Not unlike Cher Horowitz, one of her main thrills in life is a makeover. She can frequently be found redecorating the rooms in her home or dabbling in makeup artistry.
