Meet Rayana Penn: ASL Class of 2029

Appalachian School of Law is proud to introduce Rayana Penn as a member of the incoming Class of 2029.

Originally from the Bronx, New York, Rayana earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her path to law school was shaped by firsthand experience within the court system, where she discovered a passion for the legal profession and a desire to serve others through the law.

“My experience working within the court system strengthened my interest in the legal field and confirmed my desire to pursue a career in law,” Rayana shared.

Rayana is passionate about advocacy, helping others, and making a meaningful impact in her community. She views law school as an opportunity to grow personally and professionally while developing the skills necessary to become an effective advocate.

Outside of academics, Rayana enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and challenging herself to achieve ambitious goals. She is particularly excited about the opportunity to learn from classmates with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

As she prepares to begin her legal education at ASL, Rayana looks forward to the challenges, growth, and opportunities ahead, as well as building lasting relationships with her classmates over the next three years.

We are honored to welcome Rayana to the Appalachian School of Law family and look forward to seeing the impact she will make as a member of the Class of 2029.
