Given the specialized expertise of ASL professors, members of the press are welcome to make inquiries concerning legal news and topics, including recent opinions issued by the United States Supreme Court; civil and criminal cases in federal and state courts; legal disputes over natural resources and energy regulation; new laws enacted by the United States Congress or the Virginia General Assembly, particularly those affecting Appalachia; state and local land-use regulatory issues; the process governing judicial appointments to the bench; and a host of other legal topics.
