Appalachian School of Law is proud to welcome Jana Lee as a member of the incoming Class of 2029.
Born and raised in Abingdon, Virginia, Jana recently graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Integrated Agriculture Technology. As she begins her legal education this fall, she hopes to use her background in agriculture to serve and advocate for rural communities.
“I am excited to be a J.D. candidate at Appalachian School of Law this fall and use my background in agriculture to serve rural communities,” Jana said.
For Jana, ASL’s emphasis on community made the decision easy.
“I chose ASL because of the strong emphasis placed on community within the school and surrounding area,” she said. “I am looking forward to continuing my education in the heart of Appalachia.”
As a Southwest Virginia native and proud Hokie, Jana understands the importance of strong communities and the unique challenges facing rural America. Her passion for agriculture and service make her a natural fit for Appalachian School of Law’s mission.
We are excited to welcome Jana to the ASL family and look forward to seeing how she uses her talents and experiences to make a lasting difference in the communities she calls home.
