Members of the Appalachian School of Law Student Animal Legal Defense Fund recently collected and delivered more than half a ton of pet food to the Buchanan County Humane Society, continuing ASL students’ commitment to service throughout the local community.
The group donated a total of 1,054.5 pounds of pet food, including 61 bags of dog food and 60 bags of cat food.
Student Animal Legal Defense Fund President Kinsey Sanders donated her time and energy to lead the project, helping coordinate the collection and joining other members of the group to deliver the donations to the Humane Society.
The project provided much-needed supplies to an organization that cares for animals throughout Buchanan County while giving ASL students another opportunity to put service and leadership into practice beyond the classroom.
Appalachian School of Law is proud of Sanders and the students who contributed to the project and grateful for the Buchanan County Humane Society’s continued work on behalf of animals in our community.
