The Appalachian School of Law is proud to announce the newly selected Moot Court Board for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Moot Court is a cornerstone of the ASL experience, offering students the opportunity to develop essential advocacy skills through simulated appellate litigation. Participants refine their legal writing, oral argument, and critical thinking abilities while presenting cases before panels of judges — preparing them for real-world courtroom practice.
Following a competitive selection process, the incoming board has been chosen to lead, mentor, and uphold the high standards of ASL’s Moot Court program.
2026–2027 Moot Court Board:
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the outgoing Moot Court Board — Arnando Smith, Chris Sharpe, Abigail Lawrence, Angela Diaz, and Iyana Vhané — for their leadership and dedication to the program over the past year.
Please join us in congratulating the new board as they prepare to lead the next chapter of Moot Court at ASL.
