Appalachian School of Law is proud to recognize MacKenzie Haley as Co-Valedictorian for the Class of 2026.
During her time at ASL, MacKenzie has demonstrated academic excellence, dedication, and a strong commitment to preparing for a meaningful career in the legal profession. As she reflects on her law school experience, she credits ASL with helping her grow not only in her understanding of the law, but also in the practical knowledge and confidence needed for practice.
“At ASL, I have grown tremendously as a future attorney, learning not only the law itself but also the practical skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the legal profession. My time here has challenged me academically, strengthened my confidence, and prepared me for the realities of practice in meaningful ways.
Beyond the classroom, ASL gave me the opportunity to meet people I greatly cherish and likely never would have crossed paths with otherwise. The friendships, mentorships, and connections I have made during my time here are something I will always value and carry with me throughout my career.
I am truly honored to be recognized as an ASL Co-Valedictorian for the Class of 2026 and cannot thank my professors, friends, and family enough for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout this journey. Their guidance and belief in me played an essential role in helping me achieve this honor.
This year, I will begin working as a law clerk, and I ultimately plan to pursue a career as a government attorney. I am excited for the opportunities ahead and grateful for the foundation ASL has provided me as I take this next step.”
Congratulations to MacKenzie Haley on this outstanding achievement.
