Students from Appalachian School of Law recently traveled to Columbus, Ohio to compete in the National Child Welfare and Adoption Law Moot Court Competition, hosted by Capital University Law School. This national competition focuses on complex legal issues in child welfare and adoption law, providing participants with the opportunity to develop and refine their advocacy skills in a highly competitive, real-world setting.
Representing ASL were Laura Schein, Tilanijah Dawson, and Sana Fadah, pictured at the World’s Largest Gavel located near the courthouse where the competition was held. Their participation reflects the law school’s continued commitment to experiential learning and preparing students for meaningful legal practice.
