Student Spotlight – Allainah Easterling, 3L

Student Spotlight – Allainah Easterling, 3L

We are proud to recognize Allainah Easterling, a third-year student at the Appalachian School of Law, for earning a professional certification from Harvard Law School in Financial Analysis and Valuation for Lawyers.

This rigorous program teaches attorneys how to interpret financial statements, conduct business valuations, and build financially grounded arguments through real-world case studies and practitioner perspectives. It addresses a critical gap in legal practice: understanding the financial reasoning behind deal valuations, settlements, and business decisions. The certification reflects a mastery of skills that strengthen analytical reasoning across many areas of law.

Completing this program is an accomplishment in itself, but Allainah’s achievement carries even greater significance. She completed this demanding certification while finishing her final year of law school and raising two children, demonstrating exceptional perseverance, discipline, and focus. Her dedication reflects the resilience that defines so many ASL students.

Allainah is also an ASL legacy. Her father, Greg “Boomer” Easterling, Esq., is a 2019 graduate of the Appalachian School of Law, and after earning her degree and successfully completing the bar exam, she will join him in practice in Kingsport, TN. Her path honors both family tradition and a deep commitment to service through the legal profession.

Please join us in congratulating Allainah on this distinguished achievement.
