Students enrolled in Professor Thomas Scott’s Law 358: Trial Advocacy course at Appalachian School of Law are gaining valuable, hands-on courtroom experience as part of their legal education.
This upper-level course, offered to third-year students, focuses on developing the analysis, skills, and techniques essential to effective trial practice. Through simulated exercises, students engage in all aspects of courtroom advocacy, including opening statements and the development of witness testimony through direct and cross-examination.
