Welcome to the Student Ambassador program at Appalachian School of Law! Our Ambassadors are a group of exceptional second and third year law students selected by a committee chaired by the Dean of Students, David Western with the assistance of Associate Dean Shelly James.

Our Ambassadors play a vital role in welcoming prospective students, alumni, and special guests to ASL. They assist with official ASL sponsored events, conduct campus tours, and earn community service hours in performing these roles. With approximately 10 Ambassadors chosen from the 2L and 3L classes, they are an integral part of acclimating new students to the law school experience.

During Orientation, our Ambassadors are especially crucial in assisting new students with the two-week intensive introduction to law school. They are dedicated to providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition into the law school community.

We are proud to have such a talented group of individuals representing Appalachian School of Law, and we encourage you to learn more about our Student Ambassador program.

If you are interested in becoming a Student Ambassador or have any questions, please contact Dean of Students David Western at dwestern@asl.edu and/or Associate Dean of Students Shelly James at sjames@asl.edu.
